Ooooh, this REALLY irks me...

Ok, so if you HAVEN'T heard, the winners of the 8-Bit Design Challenge have been chosen, and boy, this irks me BAD.

Not the winners, but the stipulations that were 'in-my-opinion' ignored.

So much for staying within the 7 color limit, right? Check out the winners on £deviantWEAR's page (deviantwear.deviantart.com) Seems like I won't be abiding by the 'suggested' rules next time, either. Congrats to you both.

Unfortunately, this makes me lose so much respect to these 'contests' and deviantArt itself. Don't get me wrong; I'm not upset at the winners, I truly congratulate them, they're worthy of winning...it's the stipulations that are placed upon these contests and are 'seemingly' overlooked, are what prods me ever so gently. Ok, I'm being nice. This stabs me like a fork into a thick, juicy steak. Why even place rules? Who's with me on this...is this a valid argument to anyone here or am I a lonely soldier standing on this battlefield?

However the outcome, I've made some great friends and joined some great groups due to this contest, and I DID prove that it's not just popularity that gets you through to the semi-finalists, a damn good idea does, too. It was a good run; and thanks for playing... *pat on the head* XD
