Colossus XVIII: Primatea Pg. 1

Submitted as a collection in the Design your own Colossus Contest hosted by IGN.com, I created four 'original concept designs' (and a secret fifth "Joke") of some Colossi that I thought would've been killer in the game Shadow of the Colossus. Going from Colossus XVII through Colossus XX (and then the Joke Colossi X-LOL), I designed a four page spread of each design, from their title page to their history, and even the detailed walkthrough for each! Taking them to the extreme, I determined not only their defenses and attacks, but their vital points as well as the entire strategy of defeat.

It took me an entire month to complete this project, and I had a great time doing it Due to this project, I honed-in on my detailing skills, as well as my depth of sketch-drawing. Thanks to IGN.com, I sharpened my skills, which actually led to my creation of the 50's illustrations I have showcased here, as well.

I took a proud third place, however, once the contest was completed, this artwork went back into my archives, pretty much never to be seen again.

Now, thanks to DeviantART.com, I can finally showcase my hard work, as well as my love for one of the best games of all time.
